INTRODUCTION
Use of Pagetrim’s website and the purchasing and ordering of services will constitute acknowledgement and acceptance of the Terms and Conditions set out below. In addition, all agreements, communications and interactions with Pagetrim are governed by these Terms and Conditions.
Failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions may, without notice, result in termination of the client’s access to Pagetrim’s website.
At any time, for any reason and without notice, Pagetrim may vary these Terms and Conditions by service of written notice to the client. This includes altering, modifying, supplementing or discontinuing offered services, introducing new services, and changing prices, price structures or methods for determining prices, which are all shown in US Dollars.
DEFINITION OF SERVICES
Pagetrim exclusively provides proofreading, editing, formatting, book cover design, promotional videos, and publishing and marketing support services to clients who purchase these services. Proofreading services involve eliminating grammar, spelling and punctuation errors, ensuring language and writing style consistency. Editing services include checking fonts, word and line spacing, margins, placement of items on the page, indentation, alignment, improving language and sentence structure, content rewriting, structural design and anything else related to the presentation or appearance of text or other items. Lastly, book formatting and design services involve preparing book interiors and creating design elements for book covers that are ready for printing and / or publication.
Pagetrim does not comment upon, edit or alter in any way videos, music, software or any other type of non-text file or document.
QUALITY OF SERVICE
Pagetrim strives to provide the highest quality editing services to its clients at all times, and has developed quality assurance procedures. However, we cannot warrant that the final document will be fully accurate, complete, reliable, current, perfect or error-free, and cannot be held accountable for any incidental, direct or indirect, consequential, or any other damages whatsoever as a result of editing or proofreading services provided by Pagetrim.
Pagetrim’s staff provides advice on changes which the client, after reviewing the recommended changes and revisions, may accept, reject or further amend. Therefore, the content of any finished work is entirely the responsibility of the client.
The client warrants that they have full ownership and control all rights to submitted materials, and assumes all responsibility and legal liability for offenses which include, but are not limited to, copyright infringement or plagiarism, and making statements which are false or misleading, defamatory or libelous, offensive, threatening, prohibited, fraudulent or in violation of any law.
The services offered on Pagetrim’s website are provided on an ‘as published’ basis and at the client’s sole risk. All turnaround times and dates are estimates only. These estimates are made prior to having had the opportunity to review a client’s submitted material and are therefore subject to reconsideration. Pagetrim does not guarantee or warrant the accuracy or reliability of these duration estimates.
It is the client’s responsibility to provide true and accurate personal identification, including names, email addresses and phone numbers. Failing to provide correct and accurate information may result in Pagetrim refusing to offer service, or result in service delays. As a direct result arising from providing false or inaccurate information, the client assumes all responsibility for problems, errors, delays, refusal of service, service interruptions, termination of service, and full legal liability.
SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS
Pagetrim is dedicated to providing service every day, including weekends, unless there are circumstances beyond Pagetrim’s control, which include, but are not limited to: technical problems, internet or network outages, software issues, sickness, injury, death or due to a natural disaster. In the event of the above that causes any such delay or service interruption, Pagetrim is not obligated to issue a refund and retains sole discretion in regards to considering a refund.
For any legal reason at any time, without explanation and at our sole discretion, Pagetrim reserves the right to refuse service to any potential client. Furthermore, Pagetrim reserves the right to cancel or terminate any service to any customer at any time, without reason and without notice, again at our sole discretion. Pagetrim is not responsible or liable for any damages of any kind resulting from such measures.
PAYMENTS & REFUNDS
Payments can be made by credit or debit card directly through Pagetrim’s website, via PayPal, or using direct deposit upon invoice. All prices quoted on Pagetrim’s website are in US Dollars.
At any time, for any reason and without notice, Pagetrim may alter, modify, supplement or discontinue offered services, introduce new services, and raise or lower prices, change price structures or methods for determining prices.
BUSINESS OWNERSHIP
The business name: Pagetrim, and all content on the website is the sole property of Pagetrim. Content includes, but is not limited to, text, service descriptions, prices, policies, images, logos, icons, PDFs, and any other representations, depictions and explanatory aids appearing on any page. No portion of this content may be used, copied, reproduced, republished, or printed without written consent from Pagetrim. All content is protected by International copyright and trademark law.
